Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can sometimes increase the stats of a piece and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an item you have acquired like a weapon, armor or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.
The survivors can get reroll tokens in several ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates, or purchased from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of the equipment, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.

Players can roll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To produce them, you require a higher level token to reroll. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens placed on action areas, remains on the space till the next success is to be rerolled. This allows you to save upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of each preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by grasping them. When they are opened, they show an explanation and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop can trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
In the end, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls, and also those that are in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and other accessories. These stones are special stones that boost the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. These stones can also be purchased by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players first need to find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.
After choosing the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. When the requirements are satisfied, the user can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the durability of the item. This makes it an excellent way for players to gain an advantage in combat without putting a strain on their accounts. Moreover players can transfer experience and the progress of an upgraded item onto a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are several methods to get the stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally players can take apart higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that lets players increase the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that area. This process continues until the item is at its highest level.
Items that have upgraded base stats display a blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be applied to more than one item at the same time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a particular quantity of items to be used, as well as an initial level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place an item to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after a player has sufficient materials will start the upgrading process.
An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the stats of the base item will be increased by only a tiny amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.
When an item is at its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. Once item upgrading of equipment attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have discounts.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to offer an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped by acquiring new ones. However, this will ruin the previous upgrade.
Requirements
Items upgrades enable players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium as well as the number of Upgrade tokens.
Items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them more effects or an improved level of the item. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is added to an item, it cannot be removed and changed without restriction, however, glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components include additional modifiers that could further improve the item's stats.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and adds an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but they are not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get an exact roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component that goes into the item. These include the type of item (either weapon or armor) and the level of the item and the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory when you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show you how close you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
